Moving a prospect to a customer

Updated over a year ago

Once you have finalized a deal with a potential client and a prospect is ready to move forward, you can seamlessly and automatically onboard them on Zorro. Here are the steps to follow:

  • Save the final target quote in the Zorro quoting platform

    • Create a quote with the target coverage dates and save the final quote that the prospect is moving forward with

      • Zorro automatically creates classes in the employer setup process using the most recently saved quote, so make sure to save the desired one

      • Zorro automatically creates an allowance model for specific coverage dates, so make sure the coverage period in the quote aligns with the target coverage period for the deal

  • Switch from Prospect to Employer

    • Click on “Onboard as an employer” from the Prospect Setup tab

      • Anything marked with an asterisk is required from you as an agent in order to proceed with the set up. A service agreement will be created based on the information you provide in the onboarding process

      • You will see which steps are agent/Zorro-only and which include client-provided information

      • An invite will be sent to the legal contact you designate to finalize fields that are client-owned and not required in order to complete the setup

      • You will have the chance to update fields that are agent-owned and not required in order to complete the setup later

  • Input details in the 6 screens

    • Company details

      • Client-owned fields that the client can fill out if you don’t know them

      • These details will be used to create the Service Agreement

    • Contacts

      • Client-owned fields that the client can fill out if you don’t know them

      • Each contact group will be used for communication distribution lists for different topics

      • The same client contact can appear in all contact groups, if needed

    • Company setup

      • Client-owned fields that the client can fill out if you don’t know them

      • If the client has more than one payroll frequency (e.g., if they pay on different schedules to full- and part-time employees), use the primary one. The client will be able to create custom payroll reports in any frequency they’d like later on

    • Zorro setup

      • Agent-owned fields that the client cannot see

      • For the Producer Agent, input the individual who is the primary point-of-contact for the client relationship and has driven the deal

    • Plan year setup

      • Agent-owned fields that the client cannot see

      • The allowance model will auto-populate based on the quote you saved in the Zorro quoting platform assuming it had matching coverage dates

      • If an allowance model was not saved, you also have the ability to upload a file

    • Review

      • A full list of all fields and your chance to validate before sending to the employer contact (if some information is still needed) or finalizing setup (if you have input all required fields)
