How do I renew my current health plan?

Updated over a year ago

When you log into Zorro, you will see both your existing coverage and an indication of the upcoming election window.

Once your window starts, click the “Start election” button. You will see your new allowance offering and be asked to confirm your and your family's personal details.

If your existing plan is available the following year, you will then be redirected to a comparison screen that will show you today’s coverage and next year’s coverage – including updated allowances and premium costs.

You’ll be able to indicate if you want to re-enroll in the plan as-is, change your household information, or browse all of the plans available to you again.

The renewal process for individual health plans varies significantly from carrier to carrier. Some carriers assume you will continue with the existing plan and automatically re-enroll you in the same plan for the following year, while others treat the renewal like a new plan and require an application to be resubmitted.

Generally, the latter is less common, and a new application isn’t required, and the Enrollment Team should be able to transfer all of your details and enroll you in next year’s plan without needing additional information. However, if they do require additional details, you will receive an email to let you know – so be sure to reply to any communications from the Zorro Support Team!
