Cancellations with Slack Notifications
The following scenarios will trigger automatic cancellation notifications to the operations team via Slack:
Enrollment record deletion: When an enrollment record with an existing card is deleted
Coverage waiver: When an enrollment is waived after a card was previously generated
Payment method change: When switching from Zorro Pay to self-paid
Cancellations without Notifications
Some card cancellations occur without automatic Slack notifications. The Operations team is aware of these scenarios:
Termination or eligibility end: Handled manually by operations staff (triggered by off-platform customer requests or notifications). Card cancellation should be included in the termination process
Year-end expiration: Cards are automatically cancelled by Echo if not renewed
Employer churn mid-year: Operations team should handle card cancellations for all affected employees
QLE-related coverage waiver: When coverage is waived as part of a QLE enrollment after having a previous plan with a card. This triggers a notification for manual handling due to coverage end date changes, and operations should recognize this requires cancellation
