How do I fill in my plan preferences?

Updated over 6 months ago

The Zorro smart AI algorithm gives you statements to select and then rank in order to rank plans and provide you with the recommended ones for you.

Here's a breakdown of the preferences and their meaning:

  1. Minimizing my overall healthcare costs: This means you want to keep your All-In-Cost, which includes both your premium and your anticipated medical expenses, as low as possible.

  2. Avoiding large, unexpected medical bills: This indicates your preference for a plan with a low deductible, which means you'll pay less out-of-pocket in the event of unexpected, large healthcare needs.

  3. Keeping my current doctors: This highlights the importance of maintaining continuity of care with your current healthcare providers.

  4. Ensuring my medications are covered: This emphasizes the need for your insurance plan to cover the medications you currently take.

  5. Seeing specialists without referrals: This reflects your preference for direct access to specialists, usually meaning a PPO plan, without the requirement of referrals from your primary care physician, usually required with an HMO.
