What are Care Levels?

The Healthcare Levels page on the Zorro platform is designed to help you estimate your anticipated healthcare usage. All four levels are shown side by side on one screen, so you can compare them directly. By selecting the level of care that best matches your anticipated needs, you will allow Zorro to understand how different health plans will impact your overall costs and recommend the most cost-effective options.

What are the different levels?

  • Essential: Assumes basic healthcare needs, such as occasional visits to a Primary Care Physician (PCP) and limited use of prescriptions or lab services. This option is best for those with few medical concerns and limited healthcare usage.

  • Moderate: Suitable for individuals or families who foresee needing a moderate level of medical care without expecting frequent hospitalizations or complex procedures. This might include routine PCP visits, occasional specialist consultations, and possibly an urgent care or emergency room visit.

  • Above Average: Covers more frequent use of services, including regular visits to PCPs and specialists, use of urgent care or emergency services, and potential hospital stays. It's suited for individuals with ongoing medical conditions or families with a higher likelihood of needing more comprehensive care.

  • Extensive: Involves frequent medical appointments, specialist care, multiple hospitalizations, and a higher need for prescription medications, including preferred brand or specialty drugs. This level provides the most comprehensive coverage for those with complex medical needs or chronic conditions.

Customizing for Family Members:

The Zorro platform allows you to select different healthcare levels for each family member based on their individual situation. You can navigate through the tabs at the top of the page to choose a specific healthcare level for each individual. If you prefer to apply the same level of care to all family members, you can check the "Apply this level to remaining family members and continue" box.
