Open Enrollment

In the individual health plan market, all plans are based on the calendar year, from January 1 to December 31. Open Enrollment in the individual health insurance market takes place November through December.

ICHRA runs according to this schedule. With ICHRA, a full plan year always runs from January 1 to December 31.

If you are onboarding with Zorro and your plan is starting January 1, your employees will have an enrollment period between November and December, and then will renew their plans the following year.

If your company is onboarding mid-year, your plan will end December 31, and your employees will have to reselect plans in November-December for the new calendar year. From there on, your company will run on a January plan start schedule.
