Enrollment & Payment Instructions for HealthFirst NY

Please follow the steps below to complete your health plan enrollment and first payment:

Enroll in Your Plan

  • HealthFirst NY requires you to speak with a representative to enroll in your plan

  • There are two options to complete this:

  1. Call 1-844-434-7785 and let them know that you are looking to enroll in and Individual & Family plan that you have already selected

  2. Schedule an enrollment appointment using this link: https://scheduling.healthfirst.org/ and be sure to select that you are interested in Individual or Family plans. Select your preferred appointment type, then fill in the required information to schedule your appointment

  • Ask for a confirmation email or receipt

Make Your First Payment

  • Use your Zorro Pay to make payments. The card details can be found in your account at app.myzorro.co.

  • You may be prompted to make your first payment as soon as you submit your health insurance plan option. If you are provided this option, please set up the payment at that time.

  • If you are not prompted to set up payments right away, keep an eye out for an email from your carrier requesting payment information. At this time, please make the initial payment and turn on autopay as outlined in the next step.

Setup Autopay (Monthly Recurring Payments)

  • You may also be provided an option to establish autopay for monthly recurring payments, please turn it on using your Zorro Pay information.

  • Important note on autopay – If you are given an option to select the day of the month when your payments will be pulled, please choose a date as close to the 24th as allowed. Do not choose a date prior to the 20th.

Send Confirmation

  • Please email us the screenshots of your application submission confirmation as well as the payment confirmation when the time comes

Important Tax Reminder

  • Do not take premium tax credits or any option offering savings

  • If asked, always select “No” — participants in ICHRA are ineligible

Important note for renewals:

  • All members must re-establish autopay for 2026 — it won’t carry over automatically.

  • Members are encouraged to create a MyChart portal account and set up autopay after making their first payment.

  • Follow this step-by-step instructional flyer for setting up autopay.

  • Starting in 2026, Individual & Family Plan (IFP) members can choose their autopay date. (We request the members set up their Autopay on the 25th.)
